The SSL proved to be a roaring success and before long, the studio was attracting more enquiries than it could handle. The decision was made in 1985 to build a new studio, primarily a mixing room, to complement the recording room. This new studio, Studio 2, soon achieved the reputation that it still holds today, as one of London's finest sounding mix rooms.
